New Location for October 14 Fall Chapter Meeting
The Halsey Hall Chapter Fall Meeting—set for Saturday, October 14—will take place at the Fairview Community Center, 1910 W. County Road B, in Roseville. The Center is just to the west of the intersection of Fairview Avenue on the south side of County Road B and about a mile to the east of Minn. Hwy. 280.

Registration is at 8:30 a.m. with the meeting beginning at 9:00. The registration of $5 covers lunch and refreshments. The program will consist of the usual format of research presentations, featured guest (probably a member of the Minnesota Twins), and other activities, including a trivia quiz. Those wishing to do a research presentation should contact Joe O’Connell at 651-776-8093. Following the meeting, the group will gather at the Thornley-Himrich home (1082 Lovell Avenue, Roseville) to watch the baseball playoffs and assemble a jigsaw puzzle of Norman Rockwell’s “Bottom of the Sixth” painting.

Notes and Corrections
Pete Hepokoski is looking for the person who purchased the set of St. Paul Saints cards that Pete had donated to the silent auction at the last Chapter Meeting. Pete has found a couple more cards belonging to the collection and would like to get them to the purchaser. If you’re the one, contact Pete at 763-541-9801 or via e-mail at hepokoski@compuserve.com.

In the article in the September 2000 The Holy Cow! on dominance factors by Glenn Gostick, it said the list covered only players with a minimum of 150 at bats. It should have been 150 home runs.

Cow Chips
Ray Luurs was at the Cleveland-Baltimore game at Jacobs Field on September 1 that featured a triple play. . . . Mark Johnson won the “Time Line Contest” between innings of a Twins game at the Metrodome. With a little help from a friend in the press box, Mark correctly answered the question and got a radio headset and some candy, which he shared with his friend (the candy, not the radio). . . . John and Mary Gregory are planning a trip to Paris, France. Meanwhile, their children are busy with various activities: David with football, Julie with soccer and basketball, and Steven with baseball cards. . . . George Rekela went to Sioux Falls. . . . Brenda Himrich went to New Orleans for a conference and also got to visit the new D-Day Museum, watch Al Gore on the campaign trail in the French Quarter, and witness an auto-erotic performance by Bucky the Otter at the Aquarium of the Americas.
